DRIVING HOME FOR CHRISTMAS

Happy Christmas Eve!

We all know Christmas day can be a little chaotic, so hopefully all your shopping is done and today you can have a relaxing day before the Christmas day madness begins.

If you are driving home this Christmas we recommend being prepared for the journey.

Here you will find a few of our tips:

  • Write a list of everything you need to take.
  • Pack up as much of the car as you can the evening before, this will prevent to much stress on Christmas morning.
  • Do essential car checks – Tyres, anti-freeze, wipers, lights, and oil.
  • Get your festive play list ready for the journey.
  • Take a sat nav in case of any unexpected road closures.
  • Put your festive playlist on and your ready to go.
  • If you are travelling with children, I am sure you will get asked the Question “Are we there yet?” several times, and even more so with the Christmas excitement, so plan some car games to keep them distracted and to make the time fly.
  • Don’t rush your journey, if you start to feel tired pull over for a rest at the nearest service station, stretch your legs have a drink and recharge.

Essentials to pack for your journey -

  • Food and drink for unexpected traffic jams.
  • Blankets
  • Torch
  • First aid kit.

We hope your journey goes smoothly with no unexpected delays so you can enjoy more quality time with your loved ones.

Merry Christmas!
