The Honda Civic was first launched on the 11th of July 1972 as a compact car. It was then in 1975 that Honda flexed their latest update – the CVCC engine. This ground-breaking technology enabled the Honda Civic to run with lower emissions. It also did not need a catalytic converter to meet the Environment Protection Agency’s emission standards.
