The Honda Jazz has long been one of the most popular models across our Honda dealerships. It is easy to see why so many people rate the Honda Jazz as the best small hatchback on the market. The new Honda Jazz combines performance, comfort, and fuel economy. Over the years the Honda Jazz has been the recipient of many car awards, and 2022 is no different. What Car? recently named the new Honda Jazz the most reliable and best small car of the year. Read on to discover what impressed the judges at What Car? so much about the Honda Jazz.

Fuel economy

One of the most impressive things about the Honda Jazz Hybrid is the fuel economy. To achieve such fantastic fuel economy the Jazz uses a 1.5 litre petrol engine and two electric motors. The Honda e:HEV hybrid system combines petrol and electric power to reach maximum efficiency. By using self-charging and regenerative braking the Honda Jazz can do over 60 mpg. The hybrid system also maintains ultra-low emissions. The Honda Jazz comes with three driving modes. Electric mode offers instantaneous acceleration using the electric motors. Hybrid drive used both petrol and electric power for optimum efficiency. Engine drive uses the combustion engine to maintain high speeds on motorways.

Comfortable ride

Something which really impressed What Car? was the comfortable ride. Hatchbacks are not normally known for their comfort but the Jazz breaks this trend. The front seats come with anti-fatigue technology. Premium quality upholstery and heated seats also add to the comfortable ride. The panoramic windscreen in the new Honda Jazz creates an immersive driving experience

Spacious interior

When driving a small hatchback, it is important the interior feel spacious and inviting. What Car? praised the Jazz Hybrid for having generous rear leg room. They commented that the room available for passengers “puts other small cars to shame”. The Honda Jazz has a great storage capacity for carrying luggage. Capacity with the seats up is 298 litres and with the seats down it is 1205 litres.

Cutting-edge technology

Owning a small car doesn’t mean you have to compromise on functionality and connectivity. The new Honda Jazz come packed with cutting-edge technology as standard. The My Honda+ app comes full of exciting features. Use your mobile device to unlock your car instead of a conventional fob. If you’ve forgotten where you parked, the car locator feature will help you find your Jazz Hybrid.  Set up a geo-fence perimeter around your Jazz to get alerts if it moves. Keep your mobile devices charged up with USB ports in the front and back of the car.

Five-star safety rating

The most important part of any car is keeping the driver and passengers safe in the event of a collision. Safety is a major consideration for the designers at Honda. WhatCar? praised some of the fantastic safety features added to the Jazz Hybrid. When driving on A-roads or motorways the Honda Jazz aids the driver in a number of ways. Blind spot information alerts the driver when changing lanes if there is something approaching. Cruise control and lane-keep assists give drivers confidence and security on long journeys.
